Goodrich Corp. said Thursday it has been chosen to provide the main landing gear for the Airbus A350-1000 XWB, a contract expected to generate more than $2 billion in revenue.
The contract includes design, testing, manufacturing and in-service support for the main landing gear.
The A350-1000 is the largest of the three versions of the A350 XWB twin jet. It is designed to carry up to 350 passengers and has a range of up to 8,000 miles.
Charlotte-based Goodrich, a Fortune 500 company, is a supplier of aerospace and defense systems and services.
