Two lanes of East Woodlawn Road over Interstate 77 in Charlotte will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday, the North Carolina Department of Transportation said.
The lane closures are necessary for crews to do rehabilitation work on the bridge deck. The work is part of an $842,000 bridge-preservation contract awarded to Triangle Grading and Paving Inc. of Burlington.
On Woodlawn Road westbound, the left and center lanes will be closed from Nations Crossing Road to South Tryon Street.
The loop from I-77 North to Woodlawn Road will also be closed.
The DOT said motorists can take I-77 North to Clanton Road (Exit 7) to I-77 South to South Tryon Street (Exit 6B) back to Woodlawn Road/Billy Graham Parkway.
