By Caitlin Coakley CHARLOTTE — Shawn Wilfong, CEO of Wilfong Properties, remembers one of his early meetings to discuss the development of the EpiCentre. Wilfong, then 28, had co-founded Wilfong Properties with his brother about five years earlier. He was excited about his ideas, but the client, who Wilfong declined to name, couldn’t get past his youth. “I feel like I wasn’t really afforded enough time to talk to him. It was pretty much over when they met me,” Wilfong said. “He cut the meeting really short. … He was polite, but I felt like it would have been much different if I was in my 50s.”
