Already suffering from lackluster sales because of the recession, many business owners were relying on “Super Saturday” — the nickname given to the Saturday before Christmas — to give their bottom lines a much-needed boost. But this year’s Super Saturday was a super-mess thanks to a massive storm that walloped the Eastern Seaboard, dumping snow, sleet and ice from South Carolina to Maine.
