Cultivating Innovation:Grassroots effort takes on entrepreneurial obstacles
By Sam Boykin CHARLOTTE — Some of Charlotte’s most influential business leaders are working behind the scenes to create a multi-faceted resource for entrepreneurs. The group, which has met about every six weeks since January, includes representatives from the City of Charlotte, UNC Charlotte and business advocacy groups. As members have exchanged ideas, a few key initiatives have emerged. At the top of the list: The city needs to better serve and attract innovative, high-growth entrepreneurs.
